The LSSC Program is managed by the American Library Association-Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA), a companion association to the American Library Association (ALA).

 

Financial Assistance

The Tennessee State Library and Archives is offering up to 10 registration assistance awards this spring to library support staff applying for certification in the American Library Association's Library Support Staff Certification (LSCC) Program. Support staff from all types of libraries are invited to apply. Please submit your applications by May 15th.

An ALA approved program that recognizes the achievement of library support staff who work in libraries. LSSC is managed by the ALA – Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA).

LSSC recognizes the value of the contribution of Library Support Staff to quality public service and efficient operation of a library, by offering voluntary certification based on a nationally recognized set of competencies.
