How can these goals be achieved?   Libraries and their staff are in a unique position to identify and refer adults seeking retraining opportunities.   Learn about the newest addition to the  Governor’s Drive to 55, Tennessee Reconnect that is focused on increasing the number of adults in Tennessee with college degrees.  Join your colleagues at Buffalo River Regional Library Center to become a Reconnect Ambassador.    Dwight Fox, South Central Tennessee Director for Reconnect and colleagues from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, will provide training on connecting adults to educational opportunities that lead to better job prospects.  This in-service training is open to all interested library staff, trustees, friends groups, foundation members and community leaders.  To register click here.
